We bought some beautiful raw silk from Mrs Pisey’s stall, no 14. The quality is fabulous with a good choice of colours and nothing is too much trouble. The food section of the market is not for the faint hearted and you may want to steer clear.
The market stall holders can be persistent, but never hostile and a polite no thankyou always seemed to work. Bartering was always wise and quite a few sellers started at double the price they would actually want!
