Explore a maze of underground walkways to discover fashion stores and restaurants and get direct access to some of Toronto’s major attractions.

PATH Underground Shopping Mall is a shopping and entertainment complex spread over 17 miles (28 kilometers) of subterranean walkways. It’s the world’s longest underground shopping complex, according to the Guinness Book of Records. Come here to discover around 1,200 shops and services, to dine at cafés and restaurants and to visit some of Toronto’s major tourist attractions.

Even if you are not looking for anything special, exploring the pathways of the mall is an enjoyable experience as it’s a bit like entering a maze. While walking, you’ll arrive at up to 60 points where you’ll need to decide between turning left or right, continuing straight on or going back in the direction that you just came from. Color-coded signs at each crossing will help you make your decision.

Another good way to avoid getting overwhelmed is by downloading a map from the mall’s official website and mark the shops that you’d like to visit. These range from fashion boutiques and beauty centers to electronics dealers and sports equipment stores.

When you get hungry, visit one of the cafés and restaurants located throughout the complex. Choose between Asian and American cuisine, coffeehouses, bistros, upscale restaurants and fast food joints.

PATH Underground Shopping Mall stretches from Harbour Street to College Street, in Toronto’s downtown area. There are over 125 street-level entrances with direct access to the mall’s streets. The PATH connects many of Toronto’s top attractions, so you can also use of this sheltered walkway to explore the city on a cold day. See a slice of hockey history at the Hockey Hall of Fame, watch a hockey or basketball match at the Air Canada Centre and take in the unrivaled city views from the CN Tower.

Visit the mall’s official website for the opening times of the individual businesses and attractions and for discount coupons and promotions of meals and items. Twenty pay-and-display parking garages, several subway stations, hotels and railway terminals are also accessible through PATH.
