This is a lovely traditional hotel, with charm and character and a lovely team of staff who work well together and look after their guests. It is in a brilliant location in the old town - and so, as to be expected, this provides the charm and character.

Come for the frescoes and more
Hotel Donatello, as with Padua itself, was great. Near St Anthony's and the Botanic Garden, it was easy walking to other sites and sights. The staff were most helpful. Padua alive with Roman and medieval links, including buildings and frescoes. Coffee and food, si!

Exceptionally run hotel
The staff was fantastic. The breakfast was very good in the morning. Probably one of the best experiences at a hotel in Italy. I am 6'6" so any bed I stand in Europe is usually uncomfortable for me, but the room was great and very clean and updated. Not to mention the great location.

If you're visiting the basilica of Saint Anthony, this is the best choice. It's across the street from the basilica. Clean, newly renovated. Only one complaint-- there are no easily accessible electric outlets in the rooms

After finding the location of the property. It was close to the public transport system with connections to rail station. The property staff were friendly and answered all our questions. Superb location, old city charm
Ideal location close to the old city basilica and other landmarks. Staff were great and very helpful. Lots of restaurants withing a short walk, from cafe to fine dining. buses and tram stop nearby with regular services. Portico streets aplenty, the heart of Italian architecture
