"Apparently this is one of the 'best' hotels in Ayutthaya so you have to take the good with the inconvenient. Designed as a 'boutique' hotel - emphasis seems to be on design over guest experience. The main passage is dramatic and impressive - leading to lots of halls with stairs to rooms on the upper levels. Some of the best upper rooms have very steep, very high spiral staircases - so be aware if you have any limitations. We had a terrace room on the main lever, but there were hard to see...

"This place is a must if you’re in the area. Service was white glove top-notch, they upgraded me even tho this was not a VIP access hotel from Expedia. "There were 4 of us traveling. We booked two rooms. I had to changed the very first room they booked for us because it stank like sewage and mildew. The wooden wall over the bed was peeling off and only one light worked in the room. In the bathroom, the window by the toilet had green and black mold covering it as well as the side wall of the shower. The faucet for the sink wasn't even attached to the sink... The room they changed my daughter and I to was better, it didn't stink as much but there...
