"The property is very splendid impressive , the staff are consistently well trained and approachable. However we were disappointed with the lack of pressure from the shower, air conditioning worked on winter mode I.e. came on twice a day. The outside pool was under repair, and we found the service to be rather slow."

"Place was unique. Room was spacious and uniquely designed. The only window was up some stairs and you couldn't really see out of it. There was an art gallery and book store next to the hotel on the property which were very nice. "

"This is most likely the nicest hotel in Obidos, located in the former medieval Moorish Castle and subsequent Bishops Palace, in the heart of the old city. Note that you must park outside the walls in the free lot behind a nearby bank. The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle for your luggage. The rooms are comfortable. Good included breakfast in the Bishops Palace. "

"A Stylish Stay in a Historic Setting This charming boutique hotel, thoughtfully converted from a former hospital, beautifully balances crisp modern design with a sense of heritage. "The palace was a unique and delightful hotel. We ate dinner at the wine bar across the parking lot which was delicious. The complementary wine was a treat. The breakfast was one of my favorites in all my travels. Super friendly staff. I highly recommend this accommodation."

"É um bom hotel, mas pensando-se num Pestana, algumas coisas deixaram a desejar. Passamos uma noite, de terça para quarta-feira em pleno Carnaval. O hotel estava cheio, com muitas famílias com crianças porque o hotel estava oferecendo um pequeno baile. "Fabulous experience! Room was great - large, clean and had a bathtub. Made use of spa facilities. Sauna, steam room, whirlpool and indoor pool were terrific. Also had dinner in the restaurant where we had the best soup of our lives. Breakfast was extensive and well with the reasonable price. "

"What an exceptional spot! Marvao is incredible. The pousada is in a perfect location, and overlooking the plains below, it has a fabulous view. Our room, although small, was quite commodious and had historic traditional Portuguese furniture. Our dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable, although the dinner was not “gourmet”. Would we stay there again? Absolutely."
