"This was a great place to stay, at a great price. The welcome at reception was very friendly, the staff clearly know their stuff and love their jobs. Rooms were spotlessly clean and serviced very well. It's a little far out of the main part of town if you don't have a car but hey...it's a motor inn! The restaurant was often full and I hear the food was fantastic (although I didn't personally eat there). Would definitely recommend."

"I have been here before and am used to the rundown condition. Mostly tradesmen but also many regular colourful characters. This time I got room 26 in the courtyard. It was noisy until 11 pm. Next time I will ask for a room facing the carpark - last time I had 12 or 12A which were much quieter . Sheets were clean as usual. Didn't use the TV. Fridge works fine "

"The room was lovely. It appears to have been well renovated, and was in excellent condition. It was cleaned well, the bed made properly with clean sheets. The outside however appeared very run down. We were quite apprehensive about tbe room after walking from the reception to the room. There were weeds all along the driveway, the front grass was long. The windows of the gym were quite dirty. "

"Pleasant stay, the main noise was from other guests talking loudly / slamming car doors first thing in the morning. Basic facilities in the room (kettle, plates etc, no microwave). Shampoo tube from a previous occupant was left sitting on the shower screen is why I took a star off for cleanliness, otherwise it seemed good. "Wotif falsely advertised room as having 2 double beds. The hotel does not have rooms with 2 double beds. Yet we paid for the advertised 2 bed room. The room did have a few holes in the wall and cobwebs in the corner of the room, stained bed cover but clean sheets and towels. The communal showers were filthy. Would not trust Wotif or stay at this hotel again"

"Generally, it was an excellent sojourn. In order to access the property, I had to communicate with one of the staff. She seemed to be very kind and amiable. She upgraded my booking to an ensuite room. The airconditioner was powerful and I appreciated the extra blankets. No complaints! Tip: I recommend rendering a visit to the butcher (in the vicinity). "
