Saint-Aignan is a village of charming houses along the Cher River. Typical of the Loir-et-Cher region, it has its own medieval castle. The commune also features picturesque nature trails and a zoo. While in the historic centre, meander along enchanting cobblestone alleys to small boutiques and restaurants. The village is known for its Valençay goat’s cheese, green berry lentils and pastries full of mashed potato. Have a springtime meal of fresh strawberries and sautéed asparagus and local wines.
