"Very severe, dark and minimalist without the balance of aesthetic views or nature. Shoji screen room had choice of closed interior with very dark mood lighting and black surfaces or open shoji with view of workers at their desk in a neighboring glass tower. I Could not even see the sky on the 9 th floor. The room has no thin shade so workers in other building able to see in room if you have shoui open. The Onsen very comfortable but depressing and tomb like. I kept thinking I was in a Star...

"The staff at the ryokan were so helpful, kind, and considerate. The entire experience felt very personal, almost akin to a "bed and breakfast". Beyond that, the location is very close to beautiful tourist sites and walking areas. Also very close to public transit that will take you all over Tokyo. 10/10 would recommend!"

"This is the BEST place I have stayed in among my 4 visits to Japan! I will come here again in my next visit! I was able to walk around Sensoji Temple in early mornings and nights. So many dining options. Only need to take 1 train from Narita Airport to hotel that took about 1 hour only. So easy to go to other areas within Tokyo and even Nikko. Staff are all very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are large for Tokyo's accommodation standards. Great amenities! Great onsen experience! I booked this...

"Excellent location and very clean accommodations. This ryokan is just around the corner from the famous bell tower, beautiful warehouse (shopping) area and candy alley. The bath is not in your room, but you reserve your time, so it’s private. The breakfast was extraordinary!"
