Great location for exploring from, we stayed 3 nights as wife had a conference in Telford for 2 days was easy 20min drive to there from this quiet country location. We are one night in the restaurant as well as breakfast on two days all delicious and good quality. Drink selection was also great. Room was clean, quiet with a lovely view of the river. Would happily stay again.

Very friendly and cozy spot. Beautiful site on river - only downside is proximity to major road in the front and pub music in the back - but it was not a significant issue for us. Food in restaurant was very good.

Great one-night stay. Good menu and quality in the restaurant, and comfy bed. The place looks freshly refurbished and the rooms are lovely, but don't expect a lift - this is a very old building. The river view is gorgeous.

Lovely spacious room with large bathroom. Comfortable bed. The restaurant downstairs has fantastic views over the River Severn and beautiful gardens. The food is well prepared standard fare - steaks etc..

Really couldn’t fault the Riverside bedrooms, food or setting. Staff friendly, and everything recently redecorated and spotless. Convenient for Shrewsbury, the Wrekin and nearby villages, but a car is a must.

A lovely overnight stay
The room was comfortable and spacious with a good bathroom. The restaurant and bar area were also of a high standard. Plenty of parking spaces and wonderful views. Staff were all cheerful, friendly and efficient. We would stay there again. A word of caution for those of limited mobility - the rooms on the top floor are accessed by steep stairs so it's worth checking when booking.

A fabulous birthday trip
We had a fabulous stay here for my husbands birthday surprise. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. This is honestly becoming my favourite place, the views are beautiful, food delicious and the staff could not be any better. Thank you for making our stay wonderful. x

WOW! This hotel is absolutely gorgeous , I was so shocked when we arrived and saw just how beautiful the hotel was . The location and views are fantastic , the rooms are beyond spacious , clean and stunning. The breakfast was so yummy and the portion size was huge! Overall so so pleased with our stay and will definitely be booking to go again!!

Being new to driving an electric car on a long trip, we were delighted with the charging arrangements and the incredibly helpful staff both on the phone beforehand and when we arrived. Food was great.

This is a super place, our room was superb, very comfy bed, staff were very good, a welcome card on the bed with a couple of chocs was a nice touch. Food in the restaurant for evening dinner was amazing, I would have liked to have a bit more of a healthy choice for breakfast, but saying that the granola was v good.[spinach/Shakshuka] The only small criticism is a magnifying mirror in the bathroom with a light around it would have been the icing on the cake. But an amazing place.

What an amazing place to stay! We were made to feel welcomed and valued from the moment we arrived. The team are friendly yet professional. As it was our Ruby Wedding we received a surprise room upgrade from our second night. Our previous room was great but the upgrade room was simply stunning. We had planned to eat in the restaurant just on the first night but the food and the staff were so first class that we ate there each evening of our stay! Would throughly recommend The Riverside Inn and a big thank you to all who made our stay so special.
