"Part of the Sure Collection of Best Western. Really nice setting with 2 pubs directly across the road for dining options. My room was on the ground level and looked directly on to the car park so the car was only a few feet from the door which was really convenient. Really nice and friendly staff and very helpful. "Charming old coaching inn. I stay here regularly when visiting Hemel. The service and breakfast is always excellent. Room no 1 is one of the smallest and usually OK. On this occasion, there was a noisy fan outside the room which meant I didn’t get much sleep. "

"Whilst a little dated, the bed in the economy double room was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The room itself was dark (not great lighting and one window looking over a small yard). The bathroom was OK. The shower was over a high sided bath and was a mixer rather than thermostatic. Plenty of hot water. Towels were fluffy and big! "Very friendly check in, beautiful surroundings and comfortable stay. Our granddaughter loved being able to feed the numerous peacocks with the free food provided at reception. Our only disappointment was the pool was freezing. I think they were having problems at the time but we had booked our trip because of the pool and couldnt stand being in there for more than 10 minutes hopefully that will be sorted for future guests. Also the unisex changing rooms is a strange arrangement"

"Hotel staff were amazing. Location and the building was spectacular! We went to the spa and this was a bit disappointing, there were no locker keys so had to take my clothes and bag into the swimming area. We were told we would be given gowns and slippers but they didnt have any , we had to wait for somebody to go and find gowns but they didnt have slippers. The showers did not have any shower gel or shampoo the bottles were empty.....the machine to spin costumes was broken and no plastic bags...
