"This is not the Ritz - but there are some really good points - it's lovely and quiet - so a good sleep was easy. Take your own towels - ones provided were not great - I would also say take your own bedding. One major for a couple is the double is on a mezz and the toilet is down stairs - this didn't effect me as I was on my own so slept in the single room downstairs. Owner is lovely - and my stay in Sherborne very nice. Lovely place."

It was in ideal location for visiting Dorset with day trips easily accessible; Lulworth Cove, Chesil Beach, Poole, Dorchester, Swanage and Corfe Castle to name a few. Lots of National Trust properties to visit too - particularly for Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence. "The property is in a stunning location and is well maintained. However there was a lot of dust behind the TV and you know the places that are harder to access so it could do with a deep clean. In addition the number of plates cups sources provided his only enough for one per person which means that we had to wash up or put the dishwasher on and wait for this to finish before our next meal. This was limiting in what we could do in the kitchen and limited our days options."

"Very shabby inside, dirty furniture,unhygienic kitchen and no hot water in shower or bath.The shower also leaked from the wall fitting and gushed down the tiles.The carpets were dirty giving accomodation unpleasant smell. We decided to leave early but hosts didn't bother to ask if everything was ok. Would definitely not return!!!!"
