Set up camp on the waterfront of this lakeside recreation area and enjoy superb biking, hiking and watersports. Go fishing and spot varied wildlife.

Table Rock State Park is a wonderful base for exploring the great outdoors of Branson. Nestled in the heart of the Ozarks, this 356-acre (144-hectare) park has a stunning natural landscape of glistening lake waters and dense woodland. Take easy walks and challenging hikes in the park. Glide over the clear water of Table Rock Lake on rented boats or a vintage riverboat cruise.

Get some exercise on the paved 2.2-mile-long (3.5-kilometer) Table Rock Lakeshore Trail. This easy walk meanders among hickory and oak trees between the park’s marina and the Dewey Short Visitor Center. Views from the trail reach over Table Rock Lake and toward the Ozark hills. Spend some time browsing free exhibits about local history, topography and wildlife at the visitor center.

For more strenuous pursuits, the White River Valley Trail System invites you to explore by foot and mountain bike. It features four loop circuits and about 10 miles (16 kilometers) of trails that climb to elevations of up to 1,200 feet (360 meters).

Look for deer, wild turkeys and gray or red foxes, among many animals. Hawks, eagles and ospreys circle overhead while cormorants, ducks, gulls and other water birds gather around the lake.

Water-based activities are a fun way to discover the park’s lakeshore. State Park Marina has boat, canoe, WaveRunner and wakeboard rentals in addition to catamaran cruises. The Mississippi-style Showboat Branson Belle is another cruise option and includes dinner and live music. Cast a line and fish for bass and crappie.

Located on the eastern shoreline of Table Rock Lake, the park is a 15-minute drive from Branson. Bring a tent and stay overnight at one of two well-equipped campgrounds. There are also yurt-style lodge accommodations for up to six guests.

Table Rock State Park is open year round and has free admission. There is a fee to camp. Make reservations via the official website of Missouri State Parks.
