. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, with excellent breakfast options and friendly, attentive restaurant and cleaning staff who were particularly great with the kids. However, there were a few issues that fell short of five-star service.
First, we arrived at 3 pm, but our room was not ready. A simple apology was given, but we were surprised there was no compensation or even a complimentary drink or snack, especially considering the premium we paid.
Additionally, the pool area was understocked with towels, requiring us to ask the lifeguards, who seemed reluctant to provide enough for our family of four. There was also an issue with the child pool. I was supervising my son, who requires one-to-one support due to health conditions, but was told by the lifeguard that the pool was for children only. Given the circumstances and that the pool was empty, this policy felt unnecessarily strict.
Despite these issues, the overall experience was positive thanks to the quality of the breakfast and the welcoming attitude of the staff in the restaurants and housekeeping. With a few improvements in service responsiveness and flexibility, this stay could easily meet five-star expectations.
