"Location was perfect for us whilst visiting relatives in the area. Superior room was comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Stay was very relaxing. Great spot for views- we had lovely weather. In the main staff were welcoming. Especially Paul on reception. The approach road just before the hotel has lots of potholes. Ok for our 4x4 but needs some attention. Couple of breakfast staff could be a bit more welcoming. "

"Brilliant stay, the staff and the owner were great very homey and warm atmosphere. Very kindly made me an early breakfast each day as I had to be up for a training course. Rooms were clean tidy and brilliantly sound proofed as I heard nothing from the bar downstairs. Great little place would highly recommend."

"Not to far from where I was working, the hotel is clean and tidy. has all the facilities you require. I had a room which appeared to be above the gym and you could hear the clonk clonk of the weights. not good if you are trying to sleep after a night shift. I asked to be in another room but none available. so this week I'm definitely in another room."

"Good for what we needed. Tea and coffee facilities were great. Iron and Hairdryer included in the room was a good touch, first time I've ever needed to use them and they worked. The pool was ok, slightly too busy, but we did use it at peak time (evening). Great stay."

"Lovely clean and recently renovated room. Front of the property and on the first floor so a stunning view of Cardiff and Caerphilly mountain. "A lovely place to stay! Our cottage was perfect, good size and beautifully decorated. Such a peaceful place, easy to get into Cardiff centre. My daughter left her teddy behind and the staff were so helpful, they packaged him up ready for a courier to collect and let me know when he was collected. "
