"This is our second time staying at Carlsbad Inn at one of the King Suites and we love this property because it is very family-friendly with a fully stocked kitchenette and clean, accessible pools/firepits/BBQs. You are in the middle of Carlsbad Village and can walk to a large number of restaurants, stores, and bars, as well as having walkable access to the beach. Parking is by permit only so it is very easy. I took off one star because both times that we stayed here we’ve had trouble with...

"Excellent we had a family get together. The resort accommodations allowed us to stay right next to each other. Everyone had their own space but we all could tightly fit together for family time"

"Loved the 2 bedroom suite with separate bathrooms. The kitchen area was very convenient. Thr only negative was the elevator closest to our room was out of order and we had a member of our party that has mobility restrictions. The free golf cart shuttle to room made the longer distance to the parking lot not a negative factor. "

"It’s all about location. We had a two bedroom unit facing the ocean which was amazing. It was clean, parking plentiful, and the staff promptly brought up a shower chair for my elderly mother. But overall rundown and our unit needs update. Also had issues trying to do laundry, no quarters at the resort or at nearby stores. Also, we planned to have hamburgers at the pool (per the posters around the resort), but it closed early and so it was a bit of a rush so would not recommend that aspect again."
