"The saving grace of the property was the young French lad who arrived in the morning. I don’t think it was even his day to work, but he came anyway. It is such a shame because the location was awesome. There’s so much potential here but the owner isn’t interested in bringing it up to standard. The room was okay, no bed bugs. "What a find! The owners have combined their family heirlooms with modern facilities most charmingly in their farmhouse. Beautiful gardens and thoughtfully arranged outdoor spaces. A most sympathetic and friendly hostess. Our evening meal was home cooked with vegetables and fruit from their potager. This will be our default stopover and we fully intend to stay a few nights and explore the area by bicycle in the future."
