"This property was vacant and no one else staying there. I felt unsafe here, there was no warm water. The towels were hard, only one toilet paper. The fridge was faulty. I didn’t want to have breakfast as I was worried about the standard of hygiene. It really smelt like animal faecal matter due to the cows and buffaloes near by. "

"We were welcomed in such a friendly manner by the hotel owner and his family. The hotel is in a lovely natural setting. We stayed in a deluxe room which would probably equate to a basic room in England. There were other more luxurious rooms if you wanted to spend more but the main thing for us was how friendly and helpful everyone was. The meals were delicious and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this place, whatever quality of room you require."

"We had a wonderfully relaxing few days. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were most enjoyable. Our room was immaculately clean and the water was hot. It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. On leaving, they were able to arrange transport to our next hotel. The recently extended and beautifully decorated hotel is located in a quiet area...

"Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!"
