"Beautiful property and rooms. Check-in was a breeze and got a shuttle to the airport quickly. The view from our room was amazing. We were close to the ships across the street and from our San Diego Bay Cruise. We could see the Vets Day Parade from our balcony but we choose to get down on the street to see it. We will be staying here again!"

" I’ve been staying at this location for over 25 years, through its transitions from Embassy Suites to Tahoe Vacation Resort, and now Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, the recent rebranding feels like nothing more than a purely cosmetic makeover. While the new décor aligns with the Margaritaville theme, the substance of the hotel hasn’t improved. The elevators are painfully slow, making simple trips a frustrating ordeal. The food is absurdly overpriced for what’s offered, which was another disappointment. Although the rooms were clean at first glance, it was clear that the cleaning was only surface-level. Baseboards, windowsills, and even under the couch cushions revealed dirt, grime, and trash left behind by previous visitors. This level of cleanliness is far from what I’ve come to expect from a property I’ve visited for decades. On a positive note, the pond in the center of the hotel remains as beautiful as ever, and the staff was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. It’s clear they’re doing their best with what they have to work with. Overall, the changes to this hotel don’t justify the hype. I left feeling unimpressed and disappointed, especially considering how much I’ve enjoyed staying here in the past. I hope management addresses these issues to restore some of the charm and quality that long-time guests like myself have come to love."

"We love the option for the pool and the big, colorful Christmas tree when we stay in November. Avelina (I think was her name) when checking in, was such a nice, friendly person to encounter after being in traffic for four hours. We love staying at HoJo because of the ease to walk to many food locations/Disneyland."

"I stayed in a female quad room and was pleasantly surprised that there was a bathroom in our room. My bed was extremely comfortable. I appreciated being told at check in that I could ask for additional blankets. I loved the tall windows and the view. My quad companions were very quiet. I also appreciated having access to the lounge- the hot water to make my own coffee at any time. The environment in the lobby was inviting and comfortable. There were numerous restaurants, cvs, and grocery stores nearby. I am an experienced hostel vistiter so I have many to compare this to. I am impressed."
