My best guess is there an internal door mechanism to close the vent once it reaches the set room temperature then stops running. "Huge rooms and bed, was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Location was amazing, only a couple of mins walk to central station and a lot of the big sights. Was a good place to stay as only really in the room to sleep. Only a couple of issues, the heating/aircon unit did not work, was very cold one night! "We loved The Jewel! The location was perfect for our Christmas Eve stay. We were a block away from The Radio City Music Hall, and all the other places that we had to go, not to mention that we were right by the Rockefeller Christmas Tree.🎄 Our room was comfortable, clean and very quiet.
