Those who travel from East like Trincomalee or Arugambay this would be an ideal rest stop. My meals by a la carte were delicious. "Exellent resort right on the lake/dam side. We really enjoyed to chill out here for a 2 days break during our motorcycle ride in Sri lanka. Staff and and food were top notch. "I was not well so this may colour my view. I was not prepared for the very long steep walk to and from our room which made me think twicw about going anywhere. Curtains which were huge were full of dust and everything smelt of and was penetrated with incense. Food was basic and over priced. Without transport and travelling a long distance there was no where else to go to eat or get snacks. No alcohol. Some very purist guests who told us off several times for talking. Now the positives....
