"The pools were excellent and the staff was also great. Ate at all of the restaurants. Only disappointment was the steak restaurant. The steak was very mediocre. The Italian and Sushi restaurants were outstanding, and the Mexican, buffet, and pizza places were good. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The alcohol was ok, definitely plenty of it but had to try a few different drinks early to find things that tasted great and then stick with them. "

"I loved that El Tukan is an oasis in the middle of a busy city. We could sit by the pool with its beautiful gardens surrounding us. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a king sized bed."

"Found this place after our other hotel overbooked. Jorge the owner could see we were tired after a long day of travel, and set us up in a back room with balcony. Staying anywhere around 5th Ave. can get noisy at night, but it was quite quiet, and we slept just fine. We appreciated his care and concern. Rest of staff all friendly as well. Clean room, good WiFi, hot showers, a block from the beach. Great value for the price. No complaints. Thanks again Jorge. "

"We liked that the black curtain in the bedroom provided excellent coverage, making the room great for sleeping. Unfortunately, due to very loud nightclubs in the area, the rooms on the front sleep are impossible to sleep in. Fortunately the back rooms are very quiet, so a move to one of them solved that problem. But then there was no balcony to sit on. The pool and area was very small but well maintained. Umbrellas would have been a very welcome addition, as it gets very hot on the roof."

"Where do I begin?! This hotel is beautiful, from the moment you walk up to the reception desk! Me and my husband kept saying how much we absolutely adored this hotel and we cannot wait to come back! I will stay here every time I come to Playa del Carmen in the future! I miss it already!"

"Staying at Xcaret was simply one of the best vacations we have had! The entire service and staff was amazing, we had everything and anything when we needed it. Food was superb and delicious. Now being an all-inclusive aside from the all you can eat and drink it includes entrances to their amazing parks which are filled with so many thrills and adventures, from zip lines, snorkeling, rides to Isla Mujeres on a catamaran, driving jeeps in the jungles, swimming in rivers with crystal clear waters etc, etc. Words just don't do this place justice. "

Hilton Playa del Carmen, an All-Inclusive Adult Only Resort

"The food was excellent. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant. The resort was extremely clean. They were even painting one of the buildings as im sure they constantly have to do. Having the resort located just a block away from 5th Ave was wonderful and convenient for nightly walks. The entertainment was very provocative and would have preferred something a little bit more wholesome "

Bahia Principe Grand Coba - All Inclusive

5/5 Excellent

"I stayed at the Coba resort for 7 nights with my husband. The room was as shown in the pictures. The fridge had a big bottle of water, two beers and three sodas. There was another bottle of water outside at room temperature. Theres a coffee machine with a pouch of coffee, there is tea, creamer and sugar. They restock these every day if consumed. There are sufficient towels in the bathroom. If you need anything just call the concierge and they are very responsive. The buffets of all four hotels are excellent. So many options for all tastes and preferences. I am vegetarian and had always great and healthy choices. There are snack restaurants open while the buffet is closed, so good too, I was impressed. The hotels are connected via this carts that run all day around the properties. They take you to the other hotels, the Hacienda, and the beaches. Resorts are great for families, couples and kids all ages. The social areas are spacious and there’s plenty of place in the beach and at the pools. Even the buffet restaurants are enormous but never feels crowded. The social area at the Coba is the nicer from my experience. There’s this big room after the lobby where you can sit to have a drink or a coffee and passing that is this big plaza where they have shows and music in the evening. Very nice. The beach I preferred the Tulum because it was quiet and there was no loud music coming from the pool, also less crowded. Sometimes the pool areas where too loud because of the music."
